Sony portable digital audio tape TCD-D7 player recorder. IMPORTANT: IT DOES NOT WORK. It powers up, opens and closes, and the clock works, but the tape transport does not move the tape so it will not currently play or record. Pressing play, rewind and fast forward does actuate the motor, but no love. The "light" button doesn't activate any light. There may be other issues lurking; I don't mean to imply that everything is good except for what I can note. No corrosion, reasonably good cosmetic condition considering that it is a portable, with the usual blemishes and imperfections for a portable. This is a great piece of hardware. I would keep, but maybe someone else can put it to better use. As always, I will wrap very well to help ensure that it arrives safely. Listing includes the player, the Sony DAT cassette, the battery caddy (which shop is part of the player), and the four AA batteries such as they are.
