Lloyd shop Abbot, Jr. USS Intrepid is an aircraft carrier launched in 1943 and decommissioned in 1974. Album is 266 pages. Numerous photographic images, some in color. Peanuts illustrations in front, back & throughout. Measures 12 1/4" x 9 1/8". Red cloth binding w/USS Intrepid nautical design on front. No plastic cover. Documented cruise to Mediterranean. John McCain (previous US Senator Arizona & candidate for US President) was a pilot & served on this air craft carrier during this time. He was in the V65 division & has at least 1 photo included in the book. ***** Cover is very worn, especially on the corners & edges. Some pages inside are discolored & may have light foxing.
