Beautiful example of early Victorian Art Glass, white opal glass with a blue overlay. It is a pale blue on the inside of the bowl and a deeper shade at the double crimped ruffle, flowing into an even deeper blue at the outer edges of the rim. It has a pronounced pontil mark on the bottom from where the maker blew the glass, also some bubbles and ash flecks, common in hand blown glass. I believe it originally had a silver handled cradle that it sat upon (which is not included). Measures approximately 6.25” shop across and 2.25” deep.
