A pair of molded composite stone bookends from Mexican homewares manufacturer Industrias Creativas. The line “Creaciones Zarebski" was designed by a Polish immigrant and multi-hyphenate, Michael Anthony Zarebski, who styled this proprietary material as “greenstone", it's composition a mixture of crushed malachite and turquoise suspended in a clear resin. The particles are small enough to render the details of the Pre Columbian motifs but retain individual variegation with the resin acting as an almost invisible force of cohesion. Retains the original manufacturer's label reading, “Industrias Creativas S.A. Creaciones Zarebski, Cuernavaca, Morelos, Hecho en México". Each bookend Approximately measures 3.75" depth x 4.75" width x 7" height. Each Weighs about 5lbs 10.6 oz.
