Description

Product Name: Vintage wooden black doll blue shop necklace and turban. Typical Yemaya and Obatala c
We bring you this beautiful, black wooden handmade doll. She stands 10 inches tall and has a 4 inch width at the shoulders. Stands on her own on a pedestal and wears a white dress. On her left hand, she has what seems to be a duster. You can change her pose. This is the typical doll used to represent ancient spirits from the slave generation in the Caribbean. It is handmade in Miami Florida. The brand of the doll is “Cuba” and it is a vintage item which is part of the Cuban-Latino heritage in US. Condition is good vintage, ready to display, beautiful face with big eyes, all hand-painted and hand carved on hardwood. It makes a wonderful present, or a great addition to your collection of dolls, your spiritual, Santeria shrine, or simply ash a table decor. Item is unique as it is handmade. Very difficult to find. Some people say she is related to the Yoruba goddess mother, or Yemaya shop (mother of mothers) while others attribute her clothes to the Yoruba God of health, wisdom and freedom. SK.
