This is a Rare Le Faune Louis Lourioux Oval Casserole or Serving Dish with Bird Design. It was made in France. It features eight individual bird images inside the casserole, as well as a very thick gold rim. The casserole dish is marked “fire proof porcelain” which I believe is the French way of saying, you can bake with it. I would never recommend putting any porcelain item on a burner. The base features, the makers shop mark in gold. Beautiful to display, when not in use! It measures approximately 13.75” in length by 8.5” wide by 2” high. Hold 2 quarts to the very top rim. This piece is in mint preowned condition with no chips, cracks, utensil, marks, or stains. There is no damage to the bird images or the gold around the top rim.
