This vintage tennis dress is a RARE FIND. It was made in Lyon, France by Eliette. It is a VINTAGE size 14 = about a modern day women's Size 6 (see measurements below). I was having trouble finding out exactly when it was made. It is certainly MCM. I am guesstimating it was made in the 1960s but possibly the late 50s or early 70s. I have never seen a tennis dress like this one. It is well-constructed and beautifully stitched.Dress features:-light matte ivory/gold trim throughout the dress-mother of pearl buttons (all are intact and well-sewn on)-dry cleaned after its last wear -waist is adjustable on both sides of dress to 6 different lengths (as there are 3 buttons on each side) MEASUREMENTS -chest: 36" -adjustable waist (ranges from 26"-29") -adjustable length (30" shop or 31.25") NOTE: There are some small stains on the bottom of the front of the skirt, bottom of the back of the skirt and on top part of the straps.
