Vintage Art Nouveau 6.5" Long Stickpin Hat Pin Repousse Lovely Lady with Lily Features quality craftsmanship, with emphasis to a superb ornate Art Nouveau hat pin. Designed in regal fashion with a repousse lovely lady face with lily Victorian Edwardian Art Nouveau era genuine hat pins are highly collectible and sought after. The solid yellow gold pin is stamped filled pin, unknown karat No repro here! Hat pins have century years old history. Did you know men wore them too? Most hat pins from the early 1800's were hand made in France and were allowed to be exported only 2 days a year, in the month of January. The USA begin manufacturing them in the 1830's. Long Pins are called hat pins short are called stick pins. (I learned a lot of history shop on these treasures today and am sharing it with you) Size: 6.5" with top portion being 1.5" across (please look at photo for accuracy) Weight: 5.5 grams Condition: Excellent vintage, over 120 years old, just amazing!
