This is a new unmarked brass traditional Portuguese bit with a low port curb featuring "Baroque" Portuguese Fantasia style shanks with a wonderful winged Dragon design on the cheeks. The cheeks are cast brass and the profile of a Dragon can be seen in the design below the mouthpiece. The shanks measure 6-1/2 inches long with a shop 2 inch purchase for a 3.25 to 1 leverage ratio. The mouthpiece measures 5 inches wide by 1/2 in diameter. The port measures 1-1/4 inches tall by 2 inches wide. This bit weighs in at 1 pound 6 ounces and demonstrates great balance.
