Large shop Antique Oak Southern Manor Ornate Sconce 1800s Shabby Chic. Antique wooden oak sconce for two candles. Quite large, but fairly light weight. 17 in. tall 18 in. span Approx. 8 in. front to back. Once was gilded or painted gold. Later years, another owner white-washed it for a more modern Shabby Chic look. It has a repair on one of the candle arms. I have had it professionally repaired and strengthened by a licensed woodworker. It is quite strong now with only a slightly visible bit of surface scarring (last two photos, front and back). The metal reinforcements shown on the back are original to its functionality.
