Hoffman 537 shop / 538 Mono Tube Tuner Preamp Chassis 168 Vintage 1950 Normal wear. Replacement part from Hoffman model 538 radio / record player and comprises the tuner / preamp section of chassis # 168 (the power, record player & amplifier section will be listed separately). The schematic (included) is also in Riders Volume 22. The pointer moves when the tuning control is rotated. The power supply / amp section of the chassis is being sold separately so unless you plan on putting this in a Hoffman console you will need to build or buy a power supply for it. The cords are cut and/or damaged and may need to be replaced. You will need to restore it prior to use and due to its age and the fact that older components can fail at any time it is sold as-is, as a restoration project, with no guarantee of operability.
