Debuting in Minneapolis in February 2015 before traveling to Houston and Atlanta, Habsburg Splendor: Masterpieces from Vienna's Imperial Collections explores the dramatic rise and fall of the Habsburgs' global empire, from their political ascendance in the shop late Middle Ages to the height of their power in the 16th and 17th centuries, the expansion of the dynasty in the 18th and 19th centuries to its end in 1918 with the conclusion of World War I. The 93 artworks and artifacts that tell the story include arms and armor, sculpture, Greek and Roman antiquities, court costumes, carriages, decorative-art objects, and paintings by such masters as Correggio, Giorgione, Rubens, Tintoretto, Titian, and Velázquez. The image depicted is "Fire" (1566) by Giuseppe Arcimboldo, Italian (1527-1593). Good condition. Poster has been stored rolled, so there may be creases/bends/ imperfections to the edges that may not show when matted and framed. Measures about 36"L x 24"W.
