Antique 1920s evening bag is made of very fine nickel silver mesh. Mesh is soft, flowing and translucent. The link chain handle is attached to evening bag in a unique way as the purse can't be opened while bag being worn/hung from handle. Must be set down or held. See photo for detail picture of chain attachment design. Faux sapphire shop stone is set in closure. Purse frame has wonderful floral detail. Marked: Whiting Davis Co Mesh Bags, Soldered. Measurements: Width 5 in, Height 6.5 in, Chain handle 16 in. Condition: good- no damage. Wear: consistent with age.
