Each of these beautiful and extremely rare set of Egyptian Goddess Tawaret statues were handmade renditions of the female Egyptian Nile hippopotamus. Hand painted & glazed to give a smoother finish in classic faience color Statues are cast from a white, heavy shop material, likely ceramic Elegantly handcrafted, statues likely *antique given the coloration, stylized techniques and material used in their creation Large statue has tiny chips on its ear tips. Medium statue has some damage to the back legs and feet, which do not appear to interfere with its ability to stand and appear age related. Smallest statue has several small chips, right ear, back upper right leg and top of back left side. All very difficult to see unless close inspection of pieces.
