Handmade 68 shop

This is a large 68"×94" ( 6'x8') Crewelwork rug in the Aubusson style. It is a chain stitch technique not unlike surface embroidery. This shop rug is all backed in heavy cotton yet it would require a rug pad on the floor. It would also be very nice on a bed. There are a few snags and loose stitches and two small dark stains about 1/4 " each. There is a fringe at both ends. The colors are gold, dark and light blue, green, white and yellow. The effect in any room would be unmistakably spectacular.
