Meiji period is roughly late 19th century. This platter is 12” across, and considering it's over 130 years old, it's in phenomenal condition. Do NOT miss this once in a lifetime sale. Has gold and copper details on edges, very very beautiful details. The shading in the middle threw me when I first saw it I thought it was dirty. It's part of the painting. The more you look at this platter the more you see in red details. The artist did a phenomenal job on this piece. *****.
