This is an original Nintendo GameBoy system that has been refurbished and upgraded. Looks amazing in person, fully backlit. The capacitors have been replaced, new (louder) speaker, as well as a slightly larger IPS screen with new tempered glass lens. The shell, battery cover, and buttons are all stock OEM. Only very minor yellowing on the back which is hard to see. Otherwise it's in amazing condition for its age. The IPS supports both pixelated “dot matrix” mode as well as the modern smooth mode. You can control brightness as well as color palette modes using the contrast wheel on the side. Long press on the wheel and then cycle through color palettes! Long press the wheel for 5 seconds to toggle pixel mode. Still runs on 4x AA batteries, alkaline or rechargeable both work fine. Comes with fresh batteries shop, because no one likes getting a new toy without batteries. No games are included, console only.
